Genre:  Thriller

Peach is a recovering drug addict putting her life back together, piece by piece.  Charles is a high school guidance counselor trying to keep up appearances, even as his own life falls apart.  This unlikely pair has one man to thank– or blame– for their circumstances.  And reckoning will come when they least expect it.

Six months earlier, Charles and his girlfriend Myra take a weekend trip to the Mojave Desert, not far from their L.A. home.  Several miles away, Peach is holed-up in a meth den on a permanent drug-induced vacation with Max, a drug dealer and bona fide sociopath.

Peach becomes indirectly involved in a deranged and malevolent plan concocted by Max, baiting Charles as the unsuspecting victim.   In the horrific aftermath, Peach attempts to reconcile her painful secret, but the quiet desert relentlessly reminds her of what she witnessed.

As Peach searches for redemption and Charles looks for something to numb his pain, they fatefully find themselves face to face in Los Angeles.  Before long, they understand that the road to absolution is a journey they must take together.  But when the past comes roaring back with a vengeance, the high desert takes center stage again for a dramatic showdown, exposing the high cost of keeping dark secrets, and the lengths people will go to uproot them.

Based on the award winning short film, Bottled Up written by Tony Wise and Paul Conway.
